This is what happens when my brain overflows

Hey friends,

Before I dive in, a quick heads up for you: I’ve started writing on Substack.

Before you ask — no, I’m not disappearing from here. This newsletter still exists, I still exist, and I’m not running off into the woods with a typewriter and a dream. (Though … tempting.)

What is happening is this:
I wanted a space to write a little more personally and introspectively. The kind of stuff that doesn’t always fit neatly into “helpful ADHD tips” or polished content. The messy middle thoughts. The why behind things. The stuff that usually lives in notebooks. Or my brain. Mostly just in my brain.

So, how's 2026 going for you so far?

Because so far, my brain has been… soup.
You know the kind: too many thoughts, half-formed ideas, random song lyrics on loop, and a general sense that something important is trying to surface but keeps slipping away. When that happens, I know it’s time to slow down and offload. Pen, paper, deep breaths, the works.

When I did that recently, a pattern jumped out at me.
Over and over again, the things I wanted more of in 2026 had the same vibe:

Less screens.
More real world. Not the MTV version.

Reading physical books. Walking. Yoga. Being outside. Playing more TTRPGs. Writing by hand. Letting my brain exist without constant digital noise.

The phrase that wrapped it all up was: get more analog.

And yes — I’m fully aware of the irony of writing about that on the internet. ADHD brains contain multitudes.

But apparently, I am not the only one who was thinking this. And Substack feels like the right place to explore these ideas in real time. What does “more analog” actually look like when you have ADHD, work online, and live in the modern world? What stays? What goes? What changes?

If you want to follow along, read the longer version of this, comment, reply, or just quietly lurk, you’re very welcome to come hang out.

👉 You can find me on Substack here

I'd also love to connect, so feel free to hit reply and share your Substack with me!

More soon,
Kim

P.S. I'll be back with more ADHD specific stuff next week. But in the meantime, feel free to check out some of my most listened to podcast episodes for 2025:
